Credits

Ninth through twelfth grade students who successfully complete a course with a passing grade receive credit. At Gateway, we generally award two types of credits as follows:

  • 1/2 credit for the successful completion of a one semester course or team sport
  • 1 credit for the successful completion of a year-long course in which a student receives a passing average of both semester final grades

Honor Roll

To be eligible for making the honor roll, a student must take a minimum of five academic courses and receive a grade of B- or higher in all of the courses.

Principal's Honor Roll: Students must achieve a grade point average of 4.0 or higher.
High Honor Roll: Students must achieve a grade point average from 3.5 to 3.99
Honor Roll: Students must achieve a grade point average from 3.0 to 3.49.

Grade Point Weighting

Gateway Legacy Christian Academy weights grade point average as follows:

  • .4 awarded to the grade point of a student enrolled in an honors level course
  • .8 awarded to a student taking an Advanced Placement course
